Hello Future Engineers!
SAKEC Research Cell, in collaboration with Surface Modification Technologies Pvt. Ltd., is looking to recruit student interns to provide solutions to their automation process using state-of-the-art technology.
Problem Statement
Propose an automated solution for accurately measuring a non uniform object’s length, and diameter.
Eg. Identify and measure the length of a screw and the diameter of its head.
Possible solutions can include image processing and computer vision combined with AI. A completely radical and different approach is welcome.
Learning Outcomes
• Get exposure to real industrial activities.
• Build a Hardware+Software Project.
• Build and deploy a production ready solution for a real factory.
Prerequisites
• Ability to work on tight deadlines in line with the pace of the industry.
• Willingness to pick up new skills & concepts on the fly in a timely manner.
Applications in teams of 2 or more students are encouraged, but not a strict requirement.
A basic understanding of how profitability in a business works and the ability to identify new addressable bottlenecks to better utilise monetary resources would be an added bonus.
