SAKEC Training and Placement cell in association with IEEE SAKEC arranged an exciting opportunity for SAKEC students to participate in a Virtual Power Seminar on the topic “Gearing UP for the JOBS of Tomorrow” on 18th May 2020.The objective of this session is to share insight of senior industry leaders to the Students. Shiva Ajagane, Vice President & Group Delivery, Head Manufacturing, Atos Syntel, Vinita Gera, Sr Director and GM India COE, Dell Technologies and Amol Dhondse, Senior Solution Architect, IBM Master Inventor discussed on how to overcome on the business crisis which is occurred due to this pandemic. Overall the session was very informative.

A visit to Reliance Corporate Park was organized by SAKEC Placement team on 7th March 2020. SAKEC Faculties and third year students got an opportunity to experience the culture of the company. Ms. Birjis Patel, Mr. Rushabh Jawarkar and Ms. Kajal Daiya , Assistant Managers at Reliance Jio gave brief introduction about the company work culture, facilities, SDLC processes to our students. They have also made them aware of the opportunities available if they dream of pursuing their professional career at Reliance Jio. Ms. Veena Mahesh at Reliance Learning center showcased their ongoing research projects. Ms. Ishita Pahawa and Ms. Jaspreet Kaur gave insight about FTTx technology and services. The objective of the visit was to extend students interaction with the corporate world and develop interest amongst emerging engineers. Our own Alumni’s Devesh Chheda, Vaishnavi Shirke and Swamini Pednekar working in Reliance Jio made our visit truly memorable.
It was a great learning experience, being able to interact with officials who work on the field, and getting to know the way they implement their strategies and deal with technical issues. SAKEC placement team expresses its sincere gratitude to Reliance Jio for giving the opportunity to visit the RCP campus and looks forward to the fruitful relationship in the future.

A career guidance session on “Awareness on Overseas Education” was conducted by SAKEC Training and Placement Cell for TE students on 8th Feb 2020 from 12 noon onwards at 7th floor Auditorium, The speaker for the session was Ms.Mrunalini Kulkarni CEO and co founder Vision International.The session was aimed at giving a pathway to the students towards preparing for overseas education.The students were made aware about the educational requirements of the different overseas university and the application procedure.we are very thankful to the speaker for the interactive session .We are grateful to Mr.Rohit Kulkarni for coordinating with us and helping us organize the session to cater to the needs of the students.

With Gate 2020 sound the corner, Training and Placement cell organized a GATE mock test for TE and BE students on 29/1/2020 at lab 204 from 10.30 to 11.30. The online test was conducted with the same pattern and marking scheme as the GATE exam and also section wise performance analysis was generated helping the students to prepare better.

SAKEC Training and Placement Cell has organized 3 days Comprehensive Program on “Connect with Work” by Rubicon Institution Business for all Final Year students. It was conducted from 3rd October to 5th October 2019, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This program aimed at improving the employability skills of the youth. Under this program students were trained by Corporate Trainers to enhance their Lifeskills which would help them significantly to increase their chance of succeeding in a job interview.
The training gave insight in Organizational Structure, Public Speaking, Presentation Skills, E-mail Etiquette, Grooming, Group Discussion, Personal Interview. At the end assessment was conducted on Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

IEEE SAKEC in collaboration with Training and Placement Cell conducted IEEE UNIVERSITY FAIR on 18th September 2019 in an effort to educate the students about foreign education and the prerequisites for the same. Monash University, Charles Sturt University University of Wollongong conducted the session. The speakers were Pinky Desai from Monash university on the post of manager, agent and School Engagement, Lisha Malhotra as recruitment advisor from UOW and Namita Keskar as student recruitment manager from CSU conducted the session. A one to one session was conducted in which students could talk privately to the speakers of universities they were interested to pursue. This session was very helpful and all queries were solved.

Kotak had addressed Third year students of all branches to make them aware about companies upcoming recruitment trend of conducting Certification Exam rather than the aptitudes. Also gave brief information about different coding challenges conducted by various companies and benefits of the same. As these contests help students to experience the joy of coding and to sharpen their programming skills through real-life computing practices. The contest also aims at identifying the talent, besides providing the student community, an opportunity to earn peer recognition.

On the 5th Day of Training session program – 26th July 2019 , SAKEC Training and Placement Cell had organized a Career Guidance session. It was conducted by Indian school of Design and Innovation for final year students. The session was on leap frog from Engineer to Innovator. The speakers of the session wereb Prof. Amit Kundal, PhD in Design Thinking , IIT Kanpur. Prof. Bhaskar Bharr, Masters in Industrial Design from NID.
This session was highly interactive and was helpful for students in developing systematic thinking and developing a systematic approach towards their goals.
Prof. Atul Kachare had conducted a Technical session on Data Structure and Algorithms. Overall objective of the session is to make students efficient and more proficient in using the correct data structure and algorithms to solve a particular problem given.
Prof. Abirami S. had conducted a Technical session on Computer Network wherein she discussed structure and function of different types of LANs and WANs. Also discussed network architecture and protocols used in network security.
Prof. Chetan Mahajan, Prof.Jalpa Mehta, Prof. Swati Gajbiye and Prof. Manoj Dhande from SAKEC had conducted Mock Personal Interview session. These sessions helped students to learn how to answer difficult questions, develop interview strategies, improve on communication skills and reduce stress before an actual job interview.
Along with this activities students have also practiced Online Mock Test and Language Laboratory session.

On the 4th Day of Training session program – 25th July 2019 , SAKEC Training and Placement Cell had organized a hands on session on Python Programming. An interactive session was conducted by Mr. Amit Sali, Manager, Capgemini Ltd. This session helped students to analyse the program and implement problem-solving skills through Python programming language.
Prof. Uday Bhave had conducted a Technical session on Database Management Systems. Aim of the session was to discuss the core concepts underlying database management, and in particular with the relational database model which is the dominant database system used in corporate IT departments.
Prof. Tina Satra had conducted a Technical session on Software Engineering. The aim of the session was to discuss the systematic,disciplined,quantifiable approach to the development,operation and maintenance of software. The speaker also discussed Software Development Paradigm, Software Design Paradigm and programming paradigm in detail.
Along with this activities students have also practised Online Mock Test and Language Laboratory session.

On the 2nd Day of Training session program – 23rd July 2019 , An interactive session was conducted by Prof. Gopal Nanda on quantitative aptitude, Speed Math and Logical Reasoning. Overall objective of the session was to improve the numerical ability and accuracy in mathematical calculations of the students.
Mr. Nirav Hemani, Co-Founder and Director of Citizen Center Technologies and Prof. Sanjay Patil had conducted Group Discussion and shared tips with participants on how to Prepare For Group Discussions and important Do’s and Don’ts.
A mock interview is a simulation of an actual job interview. It provides an opportunity to practice for an interview and receive feedback. Ronak Parikh, Founder of TECHNOBOTICS and Zubin Savla, Project Research Engineer at Technology and Design, IIT Bombay had conducted Mock Personal Interview session.
Prof. Sharmila G. had conducted Recruitment Readiness Session. Overall goal of the session was to help students to gain skills to compose a comprehensive, professional resume, grasp key points of the interview and also to gain knowledge and skills to deal with group discussions more effectively.

With the Campus Placement season 2020 beginning, all students in their Final years are gearing up to land their first jobs out of campus. However, just like all other things in a career life, they need to not just prepare but Prepare an “Action Plan” for their approach, so they can land the perfect first job! This is why, SAKEC Training and Placement Cell has taken the liberty to prepare an Action Plan for our Final Year students. A series of session has been arranged comprising Aptitude Test, Group Discussion, Resume Building, Personal Interview and many more.
The critical components of a Fresher Resume is their Qualifications/ Scores, Internships/ Projects/ Certifications, Extracurricular Activities. To create the perfect Resume, Prof. Sharmila G. had conducted a session On 22nd July 2019.
The GD round is where student need to show their Skills in: Initiative, Knowledge & Ideas, Verbal Communication, Expression and Exchange of thoughts, Listening Skills, Leadership & Coordination Capabilities. Ms. Yugandhara Bhosale, System Engineer from Microfocus International plc had conducted a Group Discussion session on 22nd July 2019. In this round, each group given a topic of discussion, on which every member is supposed to present their thoughts on, in a conversational manner.
Aptitude tests are used to determine an individual’s ability/potential to succeed in a certain task, with no prior knowledge or training. Online Aptitude Test Readiness session has been conducted by Training and Placement Cell on 22 July 2019. Overall objective of the session is to Learn and practice Online Test Campus Interview to test and improve aptitude and technical skill.
