Placement Event 2018-19

In association with Jaro Education SAKEC Training and Placement Department conducted Hunar 2.0 Orientation Program for T.E and B.E students on 1st October 2018. Mr.Tanmay Jain from Jaro Education gave insight about the different levels of Hunar. He also introduced different takeway of this national level hunt like Seed funding to the best business idea, Media coverage, Beneficial networking for prime opportunities. Later on the platform was thrown open to all the curious minds for clearing their doubts. The session included with a video about glimpse of Hunar 1.0 challenge wherein SAKEC team won the 1st Runner up prize of rupees two lakhs. With this motivation, SAKEC teams are now geared up to take a challenge of Hunar 2.0 this year and recreate the history!!!

Training and placement department conducted a session on career guidance for higher studies for students of TE and BE students on 26th September 2018. The speaker was Mr Nitesh Kumar, CEO and founder Asteroid Learning.He talked in detail to students about how to crack gate exams and what are the opportunity after clearing gate exam. The second session was conducted by Prof. Yogita Ravat from ITM, She explained the students the growth and career opportunities in the field of IT analysis. All the students were given chance to interact one to one with the speaker and clear their doubts.

Training and placement department in association with IEEE SAKEC organised a career guidance event for higher studies on September 12, 2018.The distinguished speaker for the session was Ms.Maya Suraj, Kettering University. The students from third year and final year participated in the event .The speaker spoke at great length about the internship and job opportunities to be accommodated with the pursuing course.

SAKEC Training and placement department organised a session on how to improve Employability for our final year students on 16 August 2018 by Growth centre. Career Counsellor and Psychologist Ms. Tanvi Ashar and Ms.Mugdha Shetye talked about how to calm the nerves during stressed interview situation and gave some case studies to the students . The session was very helpful for the students for identifying their employability skills and how to improve them.

SAKEC Training and placement department organized Alumni Talk on 16th August 2018 for Final year students. Our Alumnus, Mr.Gandhar Suryavanshi from Batch 2015 gave a talk on how to design the road map from campus to cracking the company interview. He spoke at great length on how to make resume more impactful and how to present achievement in co circular and extra circular activities. He guided the students on how to prepare for cracking the aptitude for different companies and shared some useful websites with the students.He gave insights of the interview process and shared tips to handle different types of interview. The session was very interactive and helpful for students.

ISTE SAKEC in association with the Training and Placement department had organized a seminar on “Motivation and Awareness about the Indian Navy” on August 14, 2018 in the 7th floor Auditorium. The Speaker for the event was Captain J K Choudhary, Command recruitment officer, Western Naval command, Indian Navy, Mumbai.
Chairman Shri Keshavjibhai Chhadva and by Shri Navinbhai Shah, Managing Trustee felicitated Captain J K Choudhary. Principal Dr. Bhavesh Patel and Vice Principal Dr. V C Kotak gave warm welcome to Guest speaker.
Captain gave insight about Career and job opportunities in Indian Navy. He also discussed Life Inside Navy and role of engineering in Indian Navy with the students. He explained that as compared to other profession in the civilian world, the Indian Navy has a great deal to offer engineering students and choosing Indian Navy is more than just a ‘job’. It offers a unique way of exploring their life and provide ample opportunities to explore their potential in every sphere of life. Indian Navy provide professional challenges along with security and comfort that is almost unparalleled.
The event was concluded with a vote of thanks by Professor Shikha Shrivastava and the students left the auditorium motivated and pumped up by the astounding speech of Captain J K Choudhary.

Sakec Training and Placement Department had organized Inquizitive Minds Test in association with Career launcher for second and third year students on 1st August 2018 . Keeping pace with last year’s record where in SAKEC students were selected for the final round of this Pan India contest , this year also our students actively gave the test. Prior to the test , the students were given a session by Mr.Samrat Mukherjee, faculty at career launcher. The speaker spoke at great length about the various career options available for the students and guided the students on how to start their preparation at the fundamental years of engineering itself . The students were given detailed information about do ‘s and don’t s in the term of preparation and how to empower themselves against any competition.

The session guided the students on how to develop themselves for class to corporate transmission and how to develop their cultural fitment with the corporate.The speaker spoke at length about developing the emotional and intelligence quotient. The students were motivated to increase their employability and make themselves successful. The session concluded with the interactive session between the speaker and students.

This session was conducted by Mr.Anil Patil, Director, Learning and Development department, Capgemini India services limited .The students were given insight in to the programming language and the students learnt practically by coding and understanding the errors from the Hands on session.

Overall aim of the Webinar was giving an overview of RTL Design and Functional Verification. SAKEC Training and Placement Department organised a training session on 20 July 2018 for final year students in association with Tata Consultancy Sevices on the topic “IT Industry trends and planning an IT career”. The speaker was Ms.Kannagi Mishra, Business Analyst from TCS. The session gave the students an insight into recent IT trends and how to cope up with the ever changing IT trends.The speaker also shared the salient attributes expected from students for joining IT Industry.

This session was conducted by Prof.S.P.Dasari on Quantitative aptitude tips and tricks to solve the problems quickly. Later on the platform was thrown open to all the students for clearing all their doubts. Online Mock Test was also conducted to asses the students on their overall preparation.

SAKEC Training and placement department conducted Pre-Placement Training Session on *Object Oriented Methodology* for all final year students of batch 2018-19 on 11th july 2018. This session was conducted by Prof.Manoj Dhande from Computer Engineering Department on basics of object-oriented analysis and design along with its associated terminologies. Students discussed at length the frequently asked questions and cleared their doubts.

An interactive session was conducted by Prof. Gopal Nanda on quantitative aptitude, Speed Math and Logical Reasoning. Overall objective of the session was to improve the numerical ability and accuracy in mathematical calculations of the students.

SAKEC Training and placement department has conducted Pre-Placement training session for BE Students (Batch 2019) on 13^th and 14^th June 2018. The training comprised a combination of Resume Building Skills and Group Discussion session. An interactive sessions were conducted by Prof. G. Sharmila & Prof. Sanjay Patil. Overall goal of the session was to help students to gain skills to compose a comprehensive, professional resume, grasp key points of the interview and also to gain knowledge and skills to deal with group discussions more effectively. The session concluded with active participation from students getting their queries resolved.

SAKEC Training and Placement Department has conducted Placement Orientation Program for Batch 2019 on 5th April 2018. TPO and Vice principal Dr. V. C. Kotak had addressed third year students of all branches to make them aware about rigorous pre-placement training process wherein student is made to realise their positives and focus on areas in which they are best at so that it increases their self-esteem and they showcase their skills. Also gave Guidelines about Campus Recruitment Process so that the students can be confident to face the placement season 2018-2019 and can come out with flying colours.
