The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering , SAKEC in association with IETE-SAKEC student chapter is organizing 70th IIRS online Certificate Course on “Remote Sensing of Land Degradation” from December 01st, 2020 to December 07th, 2020 with SAKEC as the remote centre.
ABOUT THE COURSE

The prime objective of this programme is to train and enhance the capacity of working professionals, researchers and students in the field of Remote Sensing of Land Degradation. The course trains the course participants with a good working knowledge of the theory and practice of the Basics of Remote Sensing of Land Degradation.
Following Topics are covered:

  • An overview of Remote Sensing of Land Degradation
  • Remote Sensing of Soil Erosion
  • Remote Sensing of Salt-affected Soils : Optical & Microwave
  • Remote Sensing of Vegetal Degradation and
    Desertification
  • Mitigating Land Degradation and Land Restoration

As the seats are limited, the registration shall be done on first come, first serve basis.
COURSE DURATION AND STRUCTURE

The course duration is from December 01st, 2020 to December 07th, 2020. There will be Online session each day followed by an interactive session.
FEES

No Course and Exam registration fees

AWARD OF CERTIFICATE

Online examination will be conducted for all course participants attending the course. Fulfillment of criteria of qualifying marks in the exam as well as a minimum attendance are mandatory for the award of the course certificate.
TARGET PARTICIPANTS & ELIGIBILITY

 

  • Faculty members (teachers) of UGC/AICTE approved universities and their affiliated colleges.
  • Faculty members/Scientists/Engineers/ Officers and scientific/technical staff working in the Central/ State Govt. organisations/ institutions.
  • The participants are required to submit a proof of their employment (ID card issued by the employer or a letter certifying the employment of the applicant) at the time of online registration.
  • Students (UG (Any Year) , PG (Any Year) and PhD)

Programme can be received through Internet connectivity of 2Mbps or better using IIRS E-CLASS platform. Following hardware and software set-up is required at user end:

  • Headphone with Microphone
  • Speaker

Port 80 and RTMP (port 1935) protocol should be unblocked from user’s computer and Firewall
