Event Description

It is every innovator’s dream to convert his idea into a product and a startup. However, the idea to product journey needs finance, mentoring. Getting it is the toughest phase in any startup. Rarely someone gets an opportunity which the Government itself organises an event in which the students get an opportunity to showcase their talent and win the recognition and finance for their startup.

MHRD’s Innovation Cell has brought such a unique opportunity to you, National Innovation Contest 2020, a national level competition. The PoC and Prototype rounds of this contest are beginning now.

What is Proof of Concept?
When one gets an innovative idea to solve some problem, it is necessary to test it for it’s feasibility before it can be turned into a product or a startup. PoC is an exercise to determine whether the idea is feasible from a technical, financial, legal and societal point of view. It determines whether the product is really required by society and once it is introduced in the market, it will be a success.

What is Prototype?
A Prototype has almost all the functionalities of the end product but will generally not be as efficient, artistically designed or durable. Proof of Concepts (PoC) is an exercise which is conducted in order to determine whether the idea can be turned into reality. A Prototype has almost all the functionalities of the end product, but will generally be not as efficient, artistically designed or durable. So, if you believe that you are a creative problem solver and not just a rote learner, go ahead and register. Once you register, we guide you for the process involved in submission of ideas. It’s a golden opportunity for final year students. Their projects are ready and can be showcased in this competition. SE and TE students are welcome if they want to participate. Hurry up!
