Gaushaala CSR Activity |
Students from ACM SAKEC student Chapter of Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College conducted a social responsibility event on 31st August 2019. The Activity titled, “Gaushaala CSR Activity” was conducted in order to showcase the students the importance of cows in our natural ecosystem and also how much the importance they have on our lives. Tucked somewhere in the by-lanes of the crowded Bhuleshwar bazaar is the Bombay Panjrapole, a 176-year-old infirmary that primarily looks after 350 cows and other stray animals like donkeys, hens, birds, dogs, goats, parrots and ducks. The shelter, painted bright blue, spreads across a sprawling two acres within the congested market; it is airy and calm. |

SAKEC ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with Computer Engineering Department organized “Hands On Php” workshop at SAKEC. The event took place in Lab 612,613,614. It was 1 day event conducted on 4th August 2018 and covered various topics from Basics of Php programming to advance like building a web application. The event was attended by 30 participants, including students of SAKEC. |

On 8th September, 2018 SAKEC ACM STUDENT CHAPTER in association with Information Technology Department organized an one day workshop on “MUSIC PRODUCTION WITH FL STUDIO”. The workshop was conducted by Mr. VIRAL PARMAR who is having an experience of 4 years. The workshop was enjoyed by 29 participants. |

SAKEC ACM Student Chapter, organized a “Mixer” for its members; was held in7th Floor Dining Hall. It was an event with various activities that was enjoyed by all. The motive of this event was to strengthen the bond between the members.
The event was attended by student members as well as professional members. The first activity of the event was a brief Introduction given by all members which helped other members to know about their colleague’s hobbies and interest.

It was a one-day event and covered various topics related to Database redesigning. The event was attended by 31 participants from third year electronics department of SAKEC. The speaker was Dr. Kranti Ghag who is an experience person in this field.

It was a one-day event and covered various topics related to Linux. The event was attended by 26 participants.

Beach Clean-up Drive |
SAKEC ACM Student Chapter in association with Information Technology Department and Jay Foundation organized a beach clean-up drive. The event was conducted on 26th January 2019 on the auspicious 70th Republic Day of our country. The event was conducted in the morning from 09:00 am to 11:00 am. It was the 96th week of this drive. Mr. Jay Shrigarpure and members of Jay foundation briefed us about the procedure and precautions that is to be taken care of while collecting waste from the beach. We were guided by the experienced volunteers of the foundation who have been doing this for the past 95 weeks.

The event took place in Lab 507,508,509, 611, 612 and 613. The event was sponsored by MasterCyberity. The competition round was hosted on Hackerrank.com which provides services as well as generate results. |

Dr. Bhavesh Patel, Principal SAKEC, Dr. Uma Rao, HOD Electronics Department, Prof. Swati Nadkarni, HOD IT Department & ACM Faculty sponsor , Prof. T.P.Vinutha HOD EXTC Department and Prof. Uday Bhave, HOD Computer Department graced the occasion. Each department had short-listed three Project groups of final year students for this event. Winner was declared for each department. Projects of Computers Engg & IT department were judged by Ms. Pallavi Choudhary, Dy. Head – Quality, L&T Infotech in the morning session and the projects of Elex & Extc department were Dr. Ramesh Karandikar, Professor, K J Somaiya College of Engineering. On 3rd February 2018, SAKEC ACM Student Chapter organized its First Trek of the year 2017-18 to the Lohagad Fort which is 3,389 feet high. It is situated close to the hill station Lonavala and is 98.6 Km away from Mumbai. This adventure activity was attended by 18 members including students and Faculty members. The trek was an opportunity to bring all the ACM-Members together so as to form a strong bonding between them. |

ACM SAKEC in association with COMPUTER ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT and GFXBandits has organized hands on workshop on “Android App Development” on 22 nd and 23 rd September 2017, which was conducted by Mr. Shripal Jain, Android Developer of GFXBandits and Mr. Hemant Shah, Founder of GFXBandits and co-ordinated by Prof. Bhakti Sonawane and Prof. Karuna Borhade of Computer Engineering Department, SAKEC. The event was attended by 59 participants, including students of SAKEC and other colleges, along with some industry professionals. The workshop was intended to familiarize participants with Android Studio software. Participants were trained to make applications using UI control and toasts, which can be launched in Google Play Store and are supported by various devices such as TVs, smart phones, tablets, camera, video game player, smart watches, car systems etc. They also learnt to post advertises in their app using JSON, thus making app as a source of revenue. The session was interactive and was concluded with the valedictory function which was graced by Principal Dr. Bhavesh Patel, Computer Engineering Department HOD Prof. Uday Bhave, IT Department HOD Prof. Swati Nadkarni and CEO of GFXBandits Mr. Ronak Parikh.
