“Become a winning woman”
SAKEC-ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with Information Technology Department of Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College had organized a session on “Becoming Winning Women” on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2021. SAKEC-ACM Student Chapter got registrations of over 50 participants. The event was handled by volunteers of SAKEC-ACM and guided by Mrs. Theres Bemila. The speaker of the event was Ms. Mansi Thakkar. Problems faced by any participants were taken care by speaker in daily life.
“Road Towards MS in USA”
SAKEC-ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with Information Technology Department & Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College had organized awebinar on “Road towards MS in USA” to guide the students of Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College, Chembur as well as students from other Engineering Colleges as well in the application process of MS in USA. SAKEC-ACM Student Chapter got registrations of 74 students. The event was handled by 4 volunteers of SAKEC-ACM. The speaker of the event was Mr. Darsh Shah. Ms Smita Bansod started the webinar by welcoming everyone and giving a brief introduction about ACM and the webinar.
“Art of Living Meditation”
SAKEC ACM under ACM-W in collaboration with Information Technology Department and IIC 3.0 organized a webinar on “Art of Living: Meditation” for all the faculty members and Students to help them in relieving stress in this pandemic situation. Dates of events were 25 th Dec 20 and 27 th Dec 2020 respectively. 20 faculty members participated in this live webinar. The speakers for event were Ms. Jaya S. and Mr. Jayaprakash K. who have completed Yoga Instructor level 4 under NSDC and are working as faculty at art of living from last 14 and 18 years respectively. Webinar was conducted on Microsoft teams with under coordination of Ms. Smita Bansod and Ms. Bhakti Bheda.
“LINKEDIN & PROFILE DEVELOPMENT SESSION”
SAKEC-ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with Information Technology Department & SAKEC IIC3.0 of Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College had organized a session on “LinkedIn and Profile Development” to enlighten the importance of a good LinkedIn profile to the students of Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College, Chembur as well as students from other Engineering Colleges as well. SAKEC-ACM Student Chapter got registrations of 115 students. The speaker for the event was Mr. Paresh Gupta.
“INSIGHT ON SUCCESSFUL MINI PROJECT”
Information Technology Department of Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College in collaboration with SAKEC-ACM Student Chapter organised an event on “Insight on Successful Mini Project” for second year IT students on 1st August 2020. A new course for Second year IT students has been introduced named as Mini project. This session was conducted to bring out the importance of literature survey, working in teams and other vital issues like plagiarism. Event was attainted by 106 students and few staff also participated.
Online Project Competition
Information Technology department in collaboration with SAKEC ACM Student Chapter and SAKEC IIC 2.0 conducted an online project competition for the BE Students on 17th April 2020 amidst the lockdown. The competition was a great exposure to the BE Students to present their Research Papers and help them build confidence in presentation skills.
WORKSHOP ON PYTHON
SAKEC-ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with Information Technology Department & SAKEC IIC3.0 of Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College had organized a 2 days’ workshop on “Python” on 25th and 26th December 2020. The aim of the event was to sharpen the skills and introduce new concepts to the students of Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College, Chembur as well as students from other Engineering Colleges as well.
Virtual Triumph
On the occasion of SAKEC ACM STUDENT CHAPTER’S 3rd Anniversary dated 11th April 2020, celebrated it with its members online. Due to lockdown because of COVID-19 it wasn’t possible to celebrate it in college so the members planned to make a small game and play it on SAKEC ACM whatsapp group. The game was a quiz game in which there would be 15 questions and the members have to answer those questions on the group.
“YOGA FOR HEALTHY LIVING”
Information Technology Department in collaboration with SAKEC ACM Student Chapter’s ACM-W had orgranised a webinar on “Yoga for Healthy Living” on 14th June, 2020 to educate the students of SAKEC about some key practices of yoga to help them take care of their mental health and attain mental peace. The speaker for the event was Ms. Pratishruta Adhikari, Yoga therapist and Wellness coach.
“Hands-on Workshop on Python & Django Web Frameworks”
SAKEC-ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with Information Technology Department &SAKEC IIC2.0 of Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College had organised a 2 days hands-on workshop on 13th & 14th March, 2020 on “Python & Django Web Frameworks” to sharpen the skills and introduce newconcepts to the students of SAKEC. The speakers of the event were Mr. Preet Nagda & Mr. Yash Thosani, students of SAKEC.
“A Talk on ETHICAL HACKING AND CYBER SECURITY”
SAKEC ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with Information Technology, organized “Talk on Ethical Hacking And Cybersecurity” at 7thFloor Auditorium on 5th February 2020 from 1pm to 5pm.The motive of this event was to give the students a basic idea about hacking and also to learn how real-life hackers are and how they think.The Speaker of the event was Mr. Rohit Gautam who is founder of Hacktify Cyber Security company as well as he is an Ethical Hacker and Presenter by profession and has works with many top Indian banks and private firms. He created an interesting presentation and covered major topics like Android Hacking, Email Hacking, Cyber Forensics, Phishing and Ransomware.
“ACM Trek To Kothaligadh”
SAKEC ACM Student Chapter, organized “ACM Trek To Kothaligadh”on 1st February 2020 for its members. It was an event for ACM members which was enjoyed by all. The motive of this event was to strengthen the bond between the members.
Beach clean-up drive ”
SAKEC ACM Student Chapter along with “Change Is Us” organized a beach clean-up drive. The event was conducted on 26th January 2020 on the auspicious 71st Republic Day of our country. The event was conducted in the morning from 08:00 am to 10:00 am at Charni road Beach by collecting waste from the beach.
“AWS & Docker”
SAKEC-ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with Information Technology Department of Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College had organised an event on “AWS & Docker” to sharpen the skills and introduce new concepts to the students on 25th January 2020. Mr. Deep Mehta presented the concepts of Docker and its basic and followed by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Speaker implemented AWS services and Docker classes and explained importance in the industry perspective.The students were provided with demo AWS accounts sponsored by faculty members. They were able to successfully launch EC2 instances, create S3 node buckets,upload and download files with AWS commands and create Lambda Functions
Hands-on RedHat Linux
SAKEC-ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with Electronics & Telecommunication Department and IIC 2.0 of Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College had organised an event on “RedHat Linux” on 18th January 2020. This event is beneficial to sharpen the skills and introduce new concepts to the students of SAKEC. Speaker of the event, Mr. Ashish Tank, Faculty of SAKEC, explained basic to advanced concepts of RedHat and encouraged the students to learn more about RedHat Linux.
ACM Summit 2019 Jaipur
ACM Summit 2019 Jaipur was conducted in the Manipal Institute of Technology Jaipur. The event was on Date: – 10 August 2019. Deep Paresh Mehta and Forum Bhavesh Patel from SAKEC ACM Student Chapter had represented in Jaipur Summit. ACM SAKEC Chapter had taken part in the Poster Presentation Chapter. It was a privilege to be part of such an extraordinary event. The Summit was for ACM and ACM-W Student chapters. Approximately 50 colleges all over from India had taken part in ACM Summit out of which our college had a privilege to be part of an event.

SAKEC ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with Petroleum Conservation Research Association organized Institutional Training Program for Educational Institutes for SAKEC Staff as well as Students on 17th July 2019. The event was conducted from 03:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m. on the 3rd Floor Classroom No.34. The event, PCRA ITP Program for energy conservation and enhancing the energy sustainability.

PCB Designing & Manufacturing
Electronics Engineering Department in collaboration with SAKEC ACM Student Chapter, organized “PCB Designing and Manufacturing” on dated 13th, 14th & 18th September, 2019. It covered various topics related to PCB designing and manufacturing. The event was attended by 59 participants from diploma, second & third year Electronics & Electronics and Telecommunications department of SAKEC as well as staff members. The students were greatly benefited by this workshop as they not only had theory sessions but were given a chance to learn by implementing the theory knowledge practically. The ability of all the students being able to make the circuits successfully showed that they fully understood the workshop.
Gaushaala CSR Activity
Students from ACM SAKEC student Chapter of Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College conducted a social responsibility event on 31st August 2019. The Activity titled, “Gaushaala CSR Activity” was conducted in order to showcase the students the importance of cows in our natural ecosystem and also how much the importance they have on our lives. Tucked somewhere in the by-lanes of the crowded Bhuleshwar bazaar is the Bombay Panjrapole, a 176-year-old infirmary that primarily looks after 350 cows and other stray animals like donkeys, hens, birds, dogs, goats, parrots and ducks. The shelter, painted bright blue, spreads across a sprawling two acres within the congested market; it is airy and calm.

SAKEC ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with Computer Engineering Department organized “Hands On Php” workshop at SAKEC. The event took place in Lab 612,613,614. It was 1 day event conducted on 4th August 2018 and covered various topics from Basics of Php programming to advance like building a web application. On 8th September, 2018 SAKEC ACM STUDENT CHAPTER in association with Information Technology Department organized an one day workshop on “MUSIC PRODUCTION WITH FL STUDIO”. SAKEC ACM Student Chapter, organized a “Mixer” for its members; was held in7th Floor Dining Hall. It was an event with various activities that was enjoyed by all. The motive of this event was to strengthen the bond between the members.
The event was attended by student members as well as professional members. The first activity of the event was a brief Introduction given by all members which helped other members to know about their colleague’s hobbies and interest.

Beach Clean-up Drive
SAKEC ACM Student Chapter in association with Information Technology Department and Jay Foundation organized a beach clean-up drive. The event was conducted on 26th January 2019 on the auspicious 70th Republic Day of our country. The event was conducted in the morning from 09:00 am to 11:00 am. It was the 96th week of this drive. Mr. Jay Shrigarpure and members of Jay foundation briefed us about the procedure and precautions that is to be taken care of while collecting waste from the beach. SAKEC-ACM student Chapter in association with Information Technology Department had organized social event to help the children of Maranatha Harvest Mission Orphanage who are underprivileged children at Maranatha harvest mission orphanage society , Chembur. It is first social event held under SAKEC ACM-W Student Chapter guided by Ms. Swati Nadkarni, Ms. Smita Bansod, Ms. Bhakti Sonawane, Ms. Archana Chaugule, Ms. Shwetambri Pawar, Mr. Santosh Rathod and Mr. Manish Bhelande.

Information Technology Department & SAKEC ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with other 4 ACM Chapters had organized a coding competition “SEMICODE” at SAKEC. The event took place in Lab 507,508,509, 611, 612 and 613. The event was sponsored by MasterCyberity. The competition round was hosted on Hackerrank.com which provides services as well as generate results.

It was technical competition for undergraduates from any field where they must participate as individuals. Based on the skill sets of individuals, a team of 4 has been formed. The “Inter-Departmental Innovative Project Hunt” was organized by Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Department in collaboration with ACM-SAKEC on 7th April 2018, Saturday in 7th floor Auditorium & 4th Floor Seminar Hall.
Dr. Bhavesh Patel, Principal SAKEC, Dr. Uma Rao, HOD Electronics Department, Prof. Swati Nadkarni, HOD IT Department & ACM Faculty sponsor , Prof. T.P.Vinutha HOD EXTC Department and Prof. Uday Bhave, HOD Computer Department graced the occasion.
Each department had short-listed three Project groups of final year students for this event. Winner was declared for each department. Projects of Computers Engg & IT department were judged by Ms. Pallavi Choudhary, Dy. Head – Quality, L&T Infotech in the morning session and the projects of Elex & Extc department were Dr. Ramesh Karandikar, Professor, K J Somaiya College of Engineering. They have given their valuable inputs to all the Participants.

The event was conducted over a period of 02 days from 15th February, 2018 to 16th February, 2018 and covered topics from Basics of Ethical Hacking and its concepts in detail. The event took place at SAKEC in 4th Floor Seminar Hall. The event was attended 128 participants, including students of SAKEC and other colleges, along with some industry professionals.The speaker for this event was Mr. Rizwan Shaikh, CTO and founder of Pristine Infosolutions and also one of the top 10 ethical hackers in India.

Trek to “Lohagad Fort”
On 3rd February 2018, SAKEC ACM Student Chapter organized its First Trek of the year 2017-18 to the Lohagad Fort which is 3,389 feet high. It is situated close to the hill station Lonavala and is 98.6 Km away from Mumbai. This adventure activity was attended by 18 members including students and Faculty members. The trek was an opportunity to bring all the ACM-Members together so as to form a strong bonding between them. trek

ACM SAKEC in association with COMPUTER ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT and GFXBandits has organized hands on workshop on “Android App Development” on 22 nd and 23 rd September 2017, which was conducted by Mr. Shripal Jain, Android Developer of GFXBandits and Mr. Hemant Shah, Founder of GFXBandits and co-ordinated by Prof. Bhakti Sonawane and Prof. Karuna Borhade of Computer Engineering Department, SAKEC. The event was attended by 59 participants, including students of SAKEC and other colleges, along with some industry professionals.
The workshop was intended to familiarize participants with Android Studio software. Participants were trained to make applications using UI control and toasts, which can be launched in Google Play Store and are supported by various devices such as TVs, smart phones, tablets, camera, video game player, smart watches, car systems etc. They also learnt to post advertises in their app using JSON, thus making app as a source of revenue. The session was interactive and was concluded with the valedictory function which was graced by Principal Dr. Bhavesh Patel, Computer Engineering Department HOD Prof. Uday Bhave, IT Department HOD Prof. Swati Nadkarni and CEO of GFXBandits Mr. Ronak Parikh.
