IEEE students chapter , under the guidance of Branch Counsellor, Prof. V.V. Kotak, organized the following events during 2005-06

a) Curricular Activities:-

* Seminar on "Trends in Engineering " by Prof.C. Anderson , Immediate past President, IEEE-U.S.A.

*Seminar on "Study Opporunities in Purdue University, U.S.A. " by Ms. Shawna M. Lusk, Associate Director, Purdue University, U.S.A.

*Seminar on " Placements& Trends in the IT Sector" by an eminent faculty of NIIT Computer Training Institute.

*Seminar on "Study Opportunities in San Jose University, U.S.A." by Mr. Steve Zlotholow Asociate Dean , San Jose University, U.S.A.

* Seminar cum Workshop on Core Java by faculty member of NIIt Computer Training Institute

* Seminar on "Graduate Studies in Rochester Institute of Technology, U.S.A.", by Mr. Joseph narain, who is a senior Associate Director of the Part-time and Graduate Enrollment Services of Rochester Institute of Technology, U.S.A.

* Seminar on " Masters of Information Systems at Carnegie Mellon University " by Mr. Adrew Warrier, who is the Assistant Dean & Faculty at the Carnegie Mellon University, U.S.A.

*Seminar cum workshop on "Networking - Fundamentals to Advanced Routing" by the faculty member from I.I.H.T. Institute, Chembur.

* Seminar on "Unix" by NIIT Computer Training Institute.

* A Mock Aptitute Test for all the students to give theme a feel of the tests conducted by various Corporates who come to the campus to conduct Recruitment process.

B) Industrial Visits:

A six day Industrial Visit of students to Bangalore was organized. The students were provided with the opportunity to visit the Indian space Research Organization (ISRO), apart from visit to corporate organizations such as BMW and Titan watches. One day visit to Microwave Link station at Thane was also arranged.

An eight day visit to the city of Hydrabad was organized during 18-25 Dec, 05 which gave an opportunity to students to visit Blue-Chip companies such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL), Tata teleservices (TTS) and Astra Microwaves. The visit to "Ramoji Film Studios", gave the insight of the application of Multimedia technology in the world of Entertainment.

C) Inter-Collegiate Technical Symposium:

IEEE Students chapter of IEEE organized the Nucleus - 2006 th annual inter-collegiate Technical Symposium on 7th & 8th February 2006 where in nearly 1200 students from various engineering  colleges participated. The events included Robotics, Technical quiz, Exhibition, Programming and Debugging, Lan gaming Crystal Maze, Mobile Gaming, Crime Scene Investigations Ethical Hacking and many more . A special event "Science and Magic show was organized with the help of Nehru Science Centre, Worli.
